KEEP EXPLORINGStansfeld Scott is seeking a dynamic and organised Customs Logistics Associate to be responsible for efficiently and accurately preparing all Customs documentation and keeping all records up to date and reconciled.
Ensure that all warrants are processed on a timely basis to ensure prompt clearance from the sea and airport
Ensure that the correct tariff headings are used to clear goods and pay import taxes
Ensure that import licenses are prepared and passed prior to arrival of goods
Ensure that entries are prepared accurately from the company’s software system for all goods to be removed from bond, sold to inbond customers or exported.
Assist with the continual reconciliation of the bond not only internally but also with the Customs ASYCUDA system
Attend meetings as necessary to keep abreast of changes with ASYCUDA World, tariffs and changes with operations in the port, etc.
A deep understanding of ASYCUDA World with at least two year’s experience in a similar position
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills
Energetic and meticulous with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently on multiple projects with tight deadlines
